For Sale: 1996 Grand Cherokee 4L

Thu Nov 15, 2012 12:53 am

After thinking long and hard about this I have decided to offer my 1996 Grand Cherokee ZJ up for sale. Basically now that I have the 1995 Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee isn't going to get much use so it would be best to let it go.

Lots of detail on this thread: http://www.uaeoffroaders.com/showthread ... -4L-Laredo

Basic Information:

1996 Grand Cherokee 4L auto.
247,000km
Fitted with Selectrac transfer box (NP242 - giving 2WD or 4WD option)
Cooling system completely overhauled: new pump, radiator hoses, fan clutch, bonnet vents etc.
AC recently serviced and now very effective
Front and rear recovery points - rear includes towbar (tow hitch)
Jeep "Up Country" springs - 1" lift over standard
Additional 2" lift and heavy duty shocks.
Factory skid plates for radiator, transfer box and fuel tank
Prothane polybushes throughout suspension
Brake discs and pads all replaced
New front lights (12 months old)
Overhead console and trip computer fitted
Loads of other stuff done but which I can't remember!

Headlining could do with being replaced and the interior does show its age a bit.
Body in pretty good condition

Registration and insurance valid to October 2013

ideal beginners/intermediate off-road vehicle

Please note: it is currently fitted with 255/70x15 Cooper Cobra tyres on GT alloy wheels. I may want to keep those for my XJ Cherokee - in which case this Grand Cherokee will come with NEW standard sized 235/75x15 Dunlop tyres on alloy wheels. Of course if the bigger tyres won't fit the Cherokee, then they'll stay on this car :)

AED 18,000 - slightly negotiable :)

Nice ride, we all know how much time you invested in upgrading it. Next user should have a ready to go Jeep for a reasonable price me thinks. Good luck on your sale and good luck to the new owner.
