Back from Eid!

Thu Oct 17, 2013 9:38 am

Hi guys - hope you all had a great Eid!

I left early, came back early (to avoid the crowds) and visited this fabulous place in Oman, which you might like to visit on National Day or other long break:

Not only beach, you will find an amazing waterfall and cave there! 8)

So many beautiful places in the UAE and Oman... most people have no idea how wonderful the nature is in this region :(

That's why I started weekenduae, btw - the problem is nobody knows where these beautiful natural places are (well, only the people who live in that specific area) and most UAE citizens and residents will never see these places in their lifetime.

UAEoffroaders will! 8)

Ah, that's beautiful!!! And great photos, too :)

Why don't you share the coordinates of your trip so other UAEoffroaders can go visit some time in the future? There's always something we can learn from someone else 8)

Thanks PR, none as good as yours but the only good spot I really felt worth camping was up in the mountains near the Hoota Resort. This is privately owned. The place is known as Bilat Seet.

The coords are as follows. N23deg 10.035 E057deg 24.901

That's awesome, Mosalf! 8) Don't worry which is better or not, what's good is if we share info then we all have a better chance for great trips! 8)

I've also been close to that area near the Hoota Resort - here's the map and coordinates: http://weekenduae.com/2013/02/27/weeken ... d-cruiser/

In fact I spent New Year's shivering like a Canadian up there!!! LOOOOL

Thanks AyoobAli 8) There are so many hidden jewels in this region, just waiting for adventure!
