Can't find 17" Offroad tires -- thoughts?

Sun Oct 24, 2010 12:51 pm

Have tried Supercarz and National Tyre --- can't find an offroad/mud tire in my size range for a 17" wheel --- 245/65, 245/70, 255/65, 265/65, etc. Any thoughts folks?

I solved a similar problem (wider street tyres for 14" rim, Honda Jazz, which were only available in skinny economy sizes) by tracking down the model I wanted online, and then phoning the Middle East office (it was Yokohama) - and they found the tyres from their network.

So maybe you could try find the model online and then do the same.

awesome stuff, thanks guys.

PR, I hadn't even thought of doing that, good one...I'll give it a try.

Al, its those tires I was thinking of getting exactly -- was hoping I wouldn't have to go all the way to Sharjah for them, but will if I can't get them or something very similar here

JC, thanks...I'll look him up.

thanks for the help...ended up going with a regular a/t, BFG Rugged Trail -- just can't get M/T's anywhere in the smaller size range, 245/65/17 or close. Plenty in the 275 and up, but, halas....on to the sand.
