You know another good place to find the old Patrols? The Bureimi car souq! Mind you, they are really abused hard by the Al Ain shebab before being dumped in Bureimi, so you will really need to rebuild it. And they're not cheap, either.

Last time I was there was before summer, and there were 3 box-shaped Patrols LWB all lined up... all 3 with Lexus 8-cylinder engines which could not be registered Al Ain side... lots of good finds there. But you'd have to import it as it's technically Oman, so that's another issue.

Oh, and a beauty of an old Landcruiser, the LC-70 square shaped ones, same as the bushenab pick-ups but long cab, used as an ambulance! Snorkel and all... absolutely great expedition vehicle, and then I thought of all the injured/dying people it had carried and kind of chickened out!!! LOOOOL Man, I'd have my eye on the rearview mirror the whole time!!!! LOOOOL

Hey, if u like I can swing by tomorrow afternoon and see what's on offer 8)

There are some 8 to 10 year old Land Cruisers also out theere that are worth considering.

Either way now is the best time to buy a used old car as its a buyers market and you can beat the price down if you have ready cash.

Oh BTW ...Phantom's awsome Jeep is SOLD the last I know about it.
