Car seat for offroading

Thu Apr 24, 2014 10:26 am

Hi,

anyone can guide me to find a place(aftermarket) to buy offroading car seat for my pathfinder? i have severe back pain and i cant stop going for desert drive being a passion. changing the old unshaped seat to more back friendly/firm seat will help a bit to get rid of the pain. i heard recaro seats are the best, but any dealer here in uae?

Any other suggestions please.

Regards,
Ali

Depending on your location, go to the scrap yards in Musafah and Sharjah. I am sure you will find something to suit your needs. Good luck !!

Recaro seats can be very hard on your back as they are racing seats.

Try looking for something like a mid - late 90's honda civic or even a jeep grand cherokee leather seat. They are probably the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in.

Thanks tintin, I like the grand cherokee seat, i felt very comfortable with that. lemme check if it will fit to pathy or any musaffah guys can build a similar stuff on top of my existing seat.

Lee suggested to re-pad the existing seat with good thick foam. I am searching for that too.

Stoke of luck! I have two Honda civic seats (from a 2005 or 7 I think) which I put in my Jeep a few months ago (you'll find a post about it somewhere). I'm now getting the seat replaced with newer Jeep seats as the guys who put them in made a mess of my original Jeep seat brackets, so they don't fit properly. Anyway, so let me know if you're interested.
