Yes ill be lifting.. On the 05 Grand Cherokee, 17's are needed to clear the brakes I've found many 17 inch tires in Sharjah, all for great prices.. However a few people have suggested to stay away from M/T tyres such as the coopers because they only dig you down in the desert..
I will be going with the OME 2" Lift (Which is about 3") I will be able to clear 265/70R17's with ease.. I could clear 285/70R17's im thinking of cooper's, nitto's or BFG's.. Could you guys just suggest the best tyre brand, and ill go out on a hunt in sharjah (road after sahara)..
- I got the Pirelli Scorpions
- Coopers (which exact cooper)
- BFG (which ones)
What is the best performing tyre in the not too noisy category.. i dont mind a hum or some noise.. just nothing that will cover over the stereo
I saw the BFG A/T.. how are they in the desert? M/T's would be better i guess right?

It's all personal preference. Some people swear by AT's and some swear by MT's. Whilst others only use Nitto Dune Grapplers (mainly for the name and look I think). As I said, I have the MT's and yes they can dig a bit in extremely soft sand, but otherwise they are amazing tires. Yes they are noisey, but just turn up the tunes and away you go!
For what you want I think the BFG AT would be best, or the scorpion AT's.

Actually, after converting to inches, they're not that big! Under 33"...

Is this the NITTO Dune Grappler?
and is this the BFG A/T?
If someone can confirm these are the correct tyres, I can tell you a big difference right away in favour of the Dune Grapplers...
See the edge of the shoulder of the BFG A/T? It is squared off. Instead the Dune Grapplers have a rounded edge.
This means that when deflated to 15psi, the Dune Grapplers will form a beautiful soft footprint much wider than the square BFG, because the 90-degree angle shoulder of the BFG cannot fold down.
Also, square edges dig down more as they "bite" into the surface, while the rounded shoulders will float more.
You can also see that the BGF will be smoother on-road, giving you better performance on tarmac at speed. See the little cuts in the tread all over the place (called "sipes")? There are none on the Dune Grappler, which has solid chunks of rubber. The sipes make the rubber bend and absorb energy better, so they will be smoother running, more quiet and also better in wet conditions.
In conclusion, IMHO, Dune Grapplers definitely better for off-road driving on sand.
