Equipment Review: Solo Stove

Mon Apr 14, 2014 9:21 pm

Good piece of kit for UAE desert - with just a handful of twigs and dry roots from desert bushes you can boil water for tea, or to cook!

I was amazed at how little wood is needed... check out the review for this camping equipment:

Sounds great for boiling water, but does it have a grill for bbq-ing?

I'm not sure if there is a BBQ attachment, but if there is you can find it at their website. The heat is very intense so grilling would not be a problem, but perhaps the spread of the heat would be an issue as the fire opening is very narrow. So maybe a vertical grill? Instead of flat and wide, make it so the meat is stacked? LOL Now we're already inventing new attachments! 8)

And new cooking methods too! I'll check the website for details!
