Hi All,
I recently moved to Dubai, and currently in the process of buying a brand spanking new car
I would love to hear your thoughts on the comparison between the Ford f150 FX4 "off road" and the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as those are the two cars i narrowed down my search to.
My thoughts:
1- This will be my daily use car, so i'll need to drive it to work, to the mall, park it in tight spots, drive the family around, and so on
2- I want to be able to have a bit of fun on the weekend. "I used to do off-roading but never on sand/desert roads" So I have no clue what to expect.
3- Nothing advanced, as i wont be doing rock-crawling, mudding, or any of the extreme off-road trips.
Your thoughts and comments are most welcome
(Disclaimer: I know this newbie question has been probably asked a gazillion times before , but please do let me know your thoughts
Thanks,
Younis

I have a Ford Raptor...
the Fords are tough and don't break easy... but have a weak steering reservoir and are prone to failure.
the grand cherokee altitude.. is a toughie as well... but you have to keep in mind... these type of cars were made for the street and light offroad.
If I were you I would opt for a Nissan LE.

Thanks Al Bastaki and Kalemero
@ Al Bastaki, the Nissan is a bit out of my price range (Under 200K),
I guess my question is ==> What kind of light off-road would those two cars be capable of doing in the UAE? Would i be stuck every few meters or i can have a nice hour or two of driving around?
I am not looking for dune bashing or going where no one has gone before simple and easy drives getting to a nice area / camping place would be more than awesome
