I was given an '86 XJ6 that had been standing in the sun for years, courtesy of a broken head bolt... I nursed it for almost a year, machined new head studs even, luckily without spending much on it, until finally I had to scrap it
The interior was completely gone, but I figured if the engine and tranny turned out ok (after re-threading the block stud holes and the new head bolts) then it would be a doable project, but alas, it turned out all the electrics needed re-doing so when the engine compression also fell flat, I had to pull the plug. Body was is tip-top shape
