Ther is no reason why they should in my mind! Only way they can reject if they found a reson (security reason) - Criminal record, affiliations,...

If someone is caught who owns illegally one of the higher powered radios ike mine - VHF/HF. depending on the circumstances of how you were caught and police -> can be confiscatin of radio + impoundment of car or the higher severity of the law which is jail for 6 months and a impoundment. but this is mainly for the VHF/HF radios. The walie talkies we use the majority of police dont care about them as they are short ranged 2 - 5kms. Cant do much damage to people around you + different frequency.

The HF/VHF are a big matter as they can reach 100's of kms depending of different things and have access to frequencies that departments, companies use so again much severe!!

Thats all :D

To get license for expatriates you should have your home license (Amateur Radio)
Procedure includes passing exam, after what you will get your Advance Class license.

For Emaratis you can get Novice or Advanced license, by getting training and passing exams.

For those with licenses, i can give a hand with equipment (HF/VHF/UHF/ etc.)
As well and consult if required or license / equipment etc. :)

We any closer to negotiating an exception with EARS for requiring a ham radio license from your own country?

Given that most countries don't require license for operating CB radios, I don't see why they lump CB licenses in with ham VHS licenses.

Are most people still going through this process for the CB licences or just moving over to PMR446 radios now as I see they have been legalised and not requiring a licence?
