Radio query

Mon Feb 04, 2013 12:24 pm

Hi,

I have 2 x Crony and 2 x Quansheng radios and am having problems with one repeating the message "please change badderry" over and over again, even when the battery is fully charged.

Any ideas or suggestions welcome - the display is showing it as fully charged.

Thanks, Jeff.

OK, actually we should also give good answers 8) appreciate your sense of humour, Jeff. Here's the way, just like testing your car baddery - you need a multimeter. See how many volts are required, then set it to DC and find the + and - poles, and see if the battery output matches.

Multimeter is around AED 15 at Carrefour so always good to have one for electrical work.

If the voltage is above or below, the battery needs replacing.

Here is some good info on this tool: http://www.familyhandyman.com/DIY-Proje ... r/View-All
