Remote Controlled Exhaust System - Xforce

Tue Oct 26, 2010 2:22 pm

Thought some people might find this intriguing. i would SoOOO buy one if they had for the jeep. But already seen it first hand in front of me coz one of my friends bought it and installed it on his landcruiser. IT DOES WORK!!! in silent mode, its quieter than stock but then in fully open mode, rally car rdy to go!!

Maserati Quattroporte has this stock - you put it in sports mode and the exhaust opens up and sound is just marvellous! 8)

BTW, there's been similar manual systems around for ages - basically a Y-pipe that either goes to muffler or to straight pipe... but you had to get under the car to switch it by hand LOL

Cool stuff, eh, Scavenger! 8)

Classic sporting Lagondas used to come with what was called an exhaust cut out.. when opened the exhauust woudl route out thru a straight pipe instead of the muffler with teh added noise and a bit more power too.

They are available for any car, and they are electrically operated, so no hassles opening and closing. You just need to know two things: your exhaust diameter (to get the right size part), and whether you need two (for dual exhaust) or just one. I've seen them on all kinds of cars and trucks in the US. I've heard DMH or QTP are good, but there are many many choices -- kits including all wiring and switch for less than USD $100. Just a quick splice into your exhaust downstream of your Cat, and you're ready to wake the neighbors.

Marhaba Ayoob - my friend bought his on ebay and had it delivered here, he bought just the rear muffler. from what i know he had todo a small mod to the joint and then you can just bolt it on. Also you just have to find a source of electricity to link up to the butterfly valve in the exhaust, then the rest is done by remote!! ill try and get u more info

These are the links he gave me. Hope they can help in anyway!!
