Self Recovery

This link was sent to me from a fellow 4x4er in South Africa. For those who tend to venture out by themselves it may be worth a look at.

Interesting. Not really much different than the X-Jack just different approaches on how to tackle similar problems. Not sure why you would want to take your car on a trail that is beyond the abilities of your car as shown in many of their photos in the gallery in the first place. Can you image someone breaking this out in Mojave or on the Rubicon Trail? As a rock crawler it seems quite silly to me to promote your product in that way but to each his own. Wonder how much storage space you need to carry it with you. The video only shows one folded up but what is with the huge looking bag on the home page?

Still it is an interesting concept and worthy of testing. Thanks to you Avan and your mate for sharing with us.

Haytham,
It's about a company advertising a plastic pillow which you put under the wheels when stuck. While it is interesting, we don't actually need it:smiley2:

Best piece of equipment for UAE driving is a good friend and a Viking Rope (tow rope made from 24-26mm three-stranded rope used to moor ships at dock, with eyes spliced into both ends: nice and flexible and very durable)
