Turbo for nissan patrol

Sun Nov 09, 2014 9:44 pm

Hi
I am interested in a turbo kit for my 2003 nissan VTC manual
but I have some requirements :
1) must be able to register in Abu Dhabi
2) be reliable so that it can travel for 2000 km without a problem like going to Mecca and back
3) Horsepower isn't a big deal 400 will be enough
4) it must not be more than 18000 dirahms
5) no leaking or overheating
6) no problems with the police

and I dont care if it was a small turbo the one I found is from Borg Werner which is claimed to be better than garret
so I searched hear and there and I found some people that can do it for that price .
but then I thought that I could order some parts myself.

the garage said that he will have the intercooler, turbo manifold, unichip and its programins , iridium spark plugs , and it will take 18000 and 2 days . He claimed that it will pass in the inspection because they just care for the carbon emissions and the exhaust sound.
and I am thinking of a mishimoto intercooler, HKS fuel pump , methanol water injection all for added safety
If I ordered the parts myself I could make it 14000.

I just want to know
Can I register it in abu dhabi ? note that in the car id it should say Turbo so that it is legal
Are these parts good?
Is small A/r or bigger A/r better for offroad?
and if anybody could help with anything even parts I will appreciate it .

and the story ends :p :p

Registration will be "moody" so it may or may not pass depending on the season and time you are registering.

As for issues... YOU WILL run into many issues...

And since you want it to be derivable to Makkah... then forget about it.

Bottom line: Don't turbo your Nissan... Especially since you already have a high pressure VTC engine.
