Want to buy but confused Nissan SWB vs Jeep Wrangler

Hellooo there

I'm new here and thought you guys can advise me better than others, i drive MB G500 SWB Brabus 12' i never intended to buy this for the desert fun but doesnt mean i wouldn't push it there but not always

anyhow i'm interested to purchase either nissan patrol 12' SWB with the new VTC engine on it and my second option is Jeep Wrangler 2 door not 4.
i kinda did my research here and there but it all depends on the personal taste, i dont mind either but i wanted to hear your view if possible, which one and why if you dont mind?

Welcome to the gang Faris, regarding ur question.......Nissan is the way to go. The new Jeep is powerful, alot of fun to drive and the only truely customisable vehicle on the market but nothing has changed in the problematic drive train or electronics. I have a 2009 jk and love it but the comfort levels in the Patrol make it hard to leave at home when going to the desert!!!! Nissan is the more reliable and durable, with a much better resale opportunities.
BTW - Western Motors provide excellent service.

Looking forward to seeing u in the dunes, whatever you choose.

Bring the Brabus beat to the desert....you have hav a real blast with it....and for serious dune bashing get a manual FJ

Both cars are good on its way but it all depends on your driving style
I think you should try both of them first before buying any of them

My personal opinion would be to get an older wrangler (YJ model, 87-95). Not just because I own one, but because they are surprisingly stronger and more reliable than their newer counterparts. The new JK's have a lot of problems with the electricals, so I'm told, and some people have had them completely cut out in random situations.

The new Patrol is a great 4x4, very reliable and extremely powerful, but would be extremely expensive to repair if you break something which isn't covered by the warrantey. On the other hand, older patrols are probably the best way to go if you are looking for a patrol as they are easily repaired, cheap to maintain and as Boy Bach said, have great re-sale value.

At teh end of the day it is your choice, but you would benefit from getting a pro's and con's sheet for both types.

Jeep is fine. But all drpends on what you choose to do. With it . They are good for junior. But if you want to go higher. It may hold uou back. Then there are the problems that they have. An they love to burn a hole in ur pocket. The harder you drive it. (know this by experience)

Nissan. Well they are a good car. Easy to fix. And you can do more and harder driving.
Plus the comfort of them.

As stated. Maybe go for a ride in one of each and see what you think.

But in the long run as they say it is the driver not the csr.

Ain't that the truth!

I'd echo what everyone else said about Nissan, get one of those if you intend to drive it hard. If you just want a little bit of fun, but don't plan to push your vehicle hard, a Jeep is fine, preferably an older TJ as Tintin said.

My 2009 Wrangler is up for sale if you're interested, but I would recommend it as a dedicated offroad vehicle only.

One last thing:

12' SWB with the new VTC engine

If you want one, you better move fast. None for sale in Dubai, and only 4 left in Abu Dhabi:
1 GL - AED 145k
3 Safari - AED 169k

I checked just a few days ago.

As I always say "Nissan Can" go for the Nissan it is very cheap to run, it keeps it is value and takes you where ever you want
