Ok... So people who were there for Al ain trip yesterday might know that I got the approval from "Home Minister" for the 2nd car. Without wasting any time, I got the opportunity to look at couple of cars in our trip. Thanks Marina for sharing insight on your FJ and Lee for re-emphasizing on Xterra.

I had a pretty good look today as well on both the cars and I am pretty convinced with the Xterra, specially its "no-frills all off-road" approach. You can really feel the power and control once you drive it . The off-road version of the car is a good deal with extra lift and special suspensions. And to top it all comes with BFGoodrich + alloy wheels. So as Lee says, its off-road ready, out of box.

Let me know if you know any used Xterra deal or any other comments.

Please please dont change my mind now :D

Nasser ....for once I must admit you are kind of close to the truth...... can't elaborate further and I am sure you will

understand.

The real truth of the matter is that FJ is truly something. If I could afford to buy it I would. Do you have any idea what Waleed spent on it and how he has cared for it ?

I am looking into a similar deal with WM too !!

Hi all
With all our new members from the Al Ain area (welcome guys :) )I've been asked a couple of times in the last few days about advice on which vehicle to buy for a family - this thread seems to have it all discussed before, so will bump it up to the top!
BTW for those who don't know me, we were lucky enough to get an expat owned SWB Nissan Patrol in May. And a few days ago we bought a SWB Jeep Wrangler TJ. :)

You can try looking on www.souq.com or www.dubizzle.com you can normally find a good deal on one of these sites.

What will be your budget if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks

Hi Ross
we won't be selling the FJ for now - will have to wait to see what happens with our jeep which was in a car crash yesterday.

I agree with Tony - Dubizzle is a great place to pick up cars, we have bought two off it in the last 4 months. They have two sites - one for AD and one for Dubai so make sure you check both. If you buy them in Dubai you need to "export" it to Abu Dhabi, we have also done this twice so don't hesitate to contact me if you need any information or advice.

ok its an old topic... but i have something to add for the feature..why do we go off roading? besicly its for fun...so your car is your image

an old looking guy...just wana drive and go home to be with his old lady..then FJ ... BadRoll..LC..etc.. will do..

if you wana feel young all times... have fun in a special toy...look cool... then the one and only... a Wrangler.....!!! hot desert keep the top on.... nice weather wana have good time on road & off road.. take the top off drive under open air.. plus you can customize to your image so you will look different...

its a JEEP THING.... Jeep Wrangler all the way
!!!
