Where to get car re geared

Wed Jan 20, 2010 9:03 am

I am looking for a capable garage in and around Abu Dhabi that can regear my FJ to compensate for the bigger tires.

Has anyone had their rigs regeared ?

Any idea who sells the required ring/pinions in the UAE?

Before I forget let me mention this is a serious discussion thread!!

Have you spoke with extreme in Mussaffah? He is now dealing with FJ's and is usually a good contact for stuff like re-gears and R&P reuilds.

No sorry mate, no idea. I am sure he can't be more expensive than most others with a good rep though. Re-gearing is not something you want to take to a general mechanic really.
Do you have his shop number to get a quote?

Call Muhannad, Tadmor Garage in Sharjah. He is a pro when it comes to re-gearing. His telephone number is 050-4807100.

FJ no longer moves now heh, with those huge BFG's, tis struggling for sure :D

Another option, dump it and go for an original Jeep :p

Wasif,
Please read my original post and specially the first line. It provides u with the first option to re-gear your junk. ;)

The second option provides u with an alternative to save monies poured over your junk. :)
