Seen as the ZJ and WJ population is slowly growing I decided to start a group where we can discuss all things Grand Cherokee.

Join if you like, or not, your choice! :D

I'm in. '01 WJ, bone stock. Need to do before I hit the sand, and parts are on the way: 2" BB, 255/65/17 tires, 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers. Would also like some different wheels -- current stock 'snowflake' wheels have no center caps, and look a little odd.

I've read about all there is to read about tire/wheel for WJ's, and am not going to go over 30". For the sand, we need a tire with a soft sidewall that will work good when deflated, yes? Was think of a good Mud tire...any recommendations?

Soft side walls are not recommended as they may get deformed in teh sand. A strong side wall with a soft compound is usually better. Yes a MT will be good, noisey, but great perfrormance. I have the Kumho Roadventure MT's by the way in 31x10.5x15. Excellent tire in the sand, noisey on the road but great handling for an MT!

Post it in the group and see how we go! :D

Hi Mike, yes I already got back to him yesterday.

Of course there is no problem with this. I don't discriminate among clubs mate, unlike some. But hey, I provide assistance where assistance is needed, not where I am told is right. :D
How is Iguana anyway?

Thanks mate!

Regards

Good lad, glad to be of service.

Can't wait to see the new beast. Officially the biggest engine in the sand I think. Nice one mate, keep us ZJ owners in the running!
