Hey Offroaders,

My name is Auldrin and I have been residing in Dubai since the past 8years. I have always been fascinated by the sand dunes and desert safaris, so it seems fortunate that I have finally found a club of people that share a similar passion. I am 32years old and have little or no experience in offroading, although I have driven through thick sand but not really dunes, so am looking forward to learn a lot from you all :)
Vehicles I drive are a 2010 Mercedes GLK 4matic & a 2013 Toyota Fortuner which I intend to use on all the upcomming trips, so see u all soon in the sand. Until then drive safe ;)

hey Faris,

If u aint into toyotas then go fer the Patrol!!!!!! Reliable and fun. jeeps are very nimble and fun but will be heavy on your wallet as it spends alot of time in the workshop.

Hi Omar, welcome to the club -

Although the Dodge is a heavy vehicle I drove an old 2001 model successfully on many trips - the newer ones are even more powerful but you need to take a little care with the front skirt / spoiler when coming out of bowls - overall, the Dodge is a capable vehicle. I'm sure the marshal on your first drive will advise, just make sure that it has recovery points (solid hooks) securely fixed on to the chasis front and back before your first trip. Look forward to seeing you in the sands.

Jeff.
