Hi Kev, glad you could join us - I seem to be on a one-man recruiting 'drive'.

You've got the perfect vehicle for it, so all you need to now is get some experience under your belt.

Hello guys, a short introduction from me, I've been in Abu Dhabi for a couple of years now with my wife and two kids and keen to see more of the desert and mountains - both on my own for the break and with my family on easier trips and camping/BBQ! I've a bit of 4x4 experience from back home in Scotland but only a couple offroad drives in sand here (and they weren't very successful :) )

have a Mitsubishi nativa, accounted a very good 4x4 by UK standards but doesn't seem a popular choice here! less powerful than some other cars but I reckon it's pretty capable. We'll see

Lastly a question, should I wait for a specific trip for new members or are newbie/junior Offroader drives suitable?

Thanks and hope to meet many of you soon,
Ray

Welcome to the group Bu Amr, Ahmed, Arshad, Kevlar, Tee and Ray,

You have joined us right at the beginning of the offroading season (even though we don't start throughout the year). Keep looking, reading, getting to know the group and watch out for the trips as they are posted.

As you may have seen on the site we'll be conducting our annual Breast Cancer awareness drive on the 25th of the month, a great way to come and meet the club members at one of our community trips.

Again, welcome to the biggest bunch of sand lovers this side of the sahara and we look forward to seeing out in the dusty stuff.
The one and only FOONDER!
