I've just moved to Abu Dhabi from the UK, and really keen to get involved in some off roading! I've never done it before. Don't have a car yet, but hope to get one within a couple of months. I'd be grateful for any advice, or any info on up and coming trips that I can get involved in.

Please keep an eye on teh trips section adn you are free to come along as a passenger till you get your own ride.

Also since all of us here have been resident in Abu Dhabi for a while please do not hesitate to ask us for help in understanding this place, how things work and where to get what.

Hi Dave
and welcome to UAE offroaders, as Wasif says, keep an eye out on trips and if you fancy coming along as a passenger, just ask and someone will take you along (just mention you are handy with a shovel lol!)
It would be a good thing for you to come out with us BEFORE you buy your own wheels, all 4x4s are not made equal, and you can see how the various brands and models perform in the desert and what sort of driving you like doing!
