Welcome quicksilver and Decibel001. I am sure you will learn all that is necessary to be an expert dune basher in no time.
The pajero 2 door is fine for the sand and I am sure you will enjoy it.
As for the WK Hemi, so long as you control your departures you will be fine, low front bumper. Other than that, a 5.7 hemi is a beast of a motor and will take you to places you never thought possible!
