Hey all, I am an expat living in Al Ain and just picked up a YJ. I will be working on it through the summer as it is pretty much stock now. I do need help finding a good parts supplier for older Jeeps YJ-TJ, for starters I need seat belts! If anyone knows where I can find some new or used it will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help, and I am looking forward to chatting with and meeting all of you.

Welcome to UAEoffroaders - you don't need to wait til the winter to come out with us, we run trips every week right through the summer, in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi or Dubai areas. You don't need to have a fully modified jeep for many of our trips, though you would be best to have seatbelts installed before you come out. Would you be interested in second hand parts? I can tell you where some of the scrapyards are in Saniyia, also have the location of jeep scrapyards in Mussafah AD if it's any help.Bink wrote:Hey all, I am an expat living in Al Ain and just picked up a YJ. Great! The Jeep only came with a drivers side seatbelt....Not sure what was going with it before I owned it. I will use second hand parts with out issue. I am familiar with both Saniyia and Mussafah so directions will be gladly accepted when you get a chance. Thank you for quick response and the help! I will be going out with you guys before I know it!

Welcome Bink, nice name!
.
For your jeep parts in Musaffah try Al Qaswari and ask for Showkat. They are great and very helpful if they don't have the parts.
Directions to Al Qaswari are as follows.
Musaffah highway
1st overpass/bridge go straight under
Adnoc appears on your right, then take the next exit after the Adnoc to Musaffah industrial estate
Go straight at the roundabout then take the 1st right and go straight
2nd left, the shop is right at the end of the road. Tell the guys Tony with the big Grand Cherokee sent you.
They are closed between 12 and 2 in the afternoon and close for the day at around 6pm.
Good luck

It was Tintin who told us where the Mussafah scrapyard was when we briefly owned a jeep last summer so I don't need to tell you that.
There are a few scrapyards in Al Ain next to the shop that Wallie has mentioned here, not brand specific but you could be lucky.

hope you will come out with us soon - we have a big "end of winter season" drive/party going on on the 20th - why not come along and meet us? You can find details here - http://www.uaeoffroaders.com/showthread ... #post27982

Thanks TinTin! I will not have a problem finding this at all. It is right down truck road from where I work. Hopefully I will make it out there this week for the parts.
