Interesting. Thanks for sharing this, Mohannad.
I'd like to have confiscated several 'modified' vehicles the nights I was trying to sleep in Liwa the weekend of the More'eb Challenge!

I wonder why the amounts of the fines are so low....

I would love to know what they consider as 'modified'. Does a lift kit constitute as modded (it might not make noise or but improves stability and looks great!!!!)
maybe more clarification is required.

It wouldn't surprise me if the rule is interpreted differently in different areas. :) (like the police's attittude towards stickers etc)

From what I can see, it mostly relates to noise polution; however, the Sharjah guys have said that they won't even tolerate larger than stock tires. Guess we will be looking at big lifts and little tires then guys!
I honestly don't see this taking off, half of Musaffah would shut down and the local motoring/car shows would be barren!

Also, does that mean that Toyota showrooms will close for fitting TRD equipment on stock rides, or Western motors will be shut down for installing Mopar mods on Jeeps?

Larger tires won't be considered as modifications, its only noise causeing mods such as air filters, headers or cat back
