Received an email this morning from info@uaeoffroaders.com... I guess I was already a member from some time back but sleeping [embarassed] - anyways, it was a nice email, politely asking us to be more active in the club, and a fair request like that deserves a response so here I am!

Have been following your offroading articles in the National and we hope you will take us along for one of you outings in the near future.

Do try to drop by the Devils plunge Friday evening to meet up with us, you are still living in Al Ain I presume ?

That is an amazing idea PR we would love to be featured in one of your upcoming articles, I have noticed you do this pretty often with Desert Lions. As we are fast growing new club in Abu Dhabi a plug on your article will be very nice.

We are not that formal and rules oriented like some other clubs that you are aware of:smiley13::smiley2: and form a person with your experience any trip you will post will be great. all we insist on is that safety is paramount.

Do let me know if you are willing to plan a trip with us that you can feature in an article.

I agree with Wasif, I can't see a problem with this.
I think with the right approach this can be a very good promotion for the club.
By the way, I have been in touch with Loveday from The National. Do you know her? We are doing the desert cleanup trip on November 26th and she is supposed to be reporting on this, maybe you guys can team up for a press release prior to teh actual event, what d'ya say mate?

I'm afraid I don't know her, but I'm sure she'll take care of your clean-up as The National people are news pros. Doesn't mean she'll cover the story if it doesn't fit the Editor's viewpoint, but she'll do her work properly, from what I've seen of their operation.

I don't mind writing an article featuring the club; I think it'll be a good read. The Desert Lions became an amazing team, guys - real top stuff, but unfortunately I moved out after they started censoring stuff and deleting posts. I like clubs that are open and transparent, where all members are valued equally, both newbies and the super-experienced: because the strength of a club is its membership, and everybody should contribute in their own way. I'm glad to see UAE Offroaders welcoming initiatives from the members 8) Let me book a testdrive and I'll set it up... 2-3 weeks from now?
