POIplaza is one of the world's largest GPS databases, from where you can download free of charge POIs selected by countries and categories - for PNA, PDA or mobile phone based navigation applications.

The POIplaza database contains 2,679,587 POIs from 171 countries in 1,609 categories, 17 formats. POIplaza has 38,914 registered users.

Very important ones in the UAE are

Fix Speedcams (910), Mobile Speedcams (561) (not very useful), Red Light and Speedcam (25) and Red Light (146)

Many Other userful ones for the UAE

POI's are supported for most GPS softwares - I have it and use it for IGO 8, Garmin, Destinator and Route 66...

this is a great link and is sure to save some serious money !!!

that new cam by the entrence to the Abu Dhabi Airport cost me AED 4,000 and I am still hurting everytime I think of the goodise that dosh could have bought !

Are the speed cams configured as proximity alerts ? Can they be uploaded on the Garmin using their POI loader ?

Wasif if u need the speed cams just ask. I have a few hundred on my garmin with proxmity alerts assigned.

Me too but I would like to keep abreast of the newer ones in Dubai especially !
