Trip Ticket (CPD) - VERY IMPORTANT

Dear Friends,
As you might be aware, UAE had adopted Carnet De Passages (CPD) system or as its commonly know Trip Ticket which means that for all trips outside of UAE you will need to issue a CPD (excluding GCC citizens).
Your CPD will be valid for 1 year regardless of the number of exits you have made, and any UAE resident can obtain the CPD for a processing fees depends on the destination country along with cash or bank guarantee illustrated in the attached table below

Acknowledgment
Most countries including all Arab countries require each vehicle travelling via land,sea or air to possess trip ticket when it enters the destination country in accordance with UN conventions 1954-1956

Objectives
To facilitate the travel of vehicles and motorcycles that have UAE number plate across borders centers to most countries in the world and assure its return or domestic use in destination country

Requirments for Trip Ticket issue
  1. presence of the vehicle owner or his legal representative for the filling and signature of the application.
  2. copy of passport with valid residency
  3. copy of valid car registration
  4. copy of EID
  5. if vehicle is under the name of a companies, valid copy if TL is required and a letter from the company to issue a Trip Ticket with the company's stamp and a copy of the passport of the person will sign
For GCC travel
AED 350 for Trip Ticket
AED 500 Refundable guarantee
Payment is to be paid by cash no card accepted

Just did a visa border run and nobody mentioned anything about this.

It may have not been appllied yet offcially but it could be anytime, i myself thinking of driving to muscat to see what happens at a later date

Btw when did you exit uae last time?

Last week.
Hopefully, they will take a while longer to implement it.

guys!! i have talked to the IATC and i was told that Trip Ticket is not reuired to Oman. therefore i think this article should be removed to avoid confusion.

For now, this is not required for OMAN

However, it is required for other countries, and has been for more than 15 years.
