Pam, the 200dhs is coming out of your housekeeping money
Just a quick question

What housekeeping money?

And I'll be charging you for the distress of being pulled over and having three little coppers appearing at my window and for the child who was going to squeal on me.

P.S. you should be working :p

LOOL that is rich.

On a serious note ther is an all out active campaign going on against cars with stickers. It is not only in Abu Dhabi but in all the other Emirates too.

Its been so bad in Dubai that people are calling up the radio station to complain about this.

And Nasser try as you might they will still give you a ticket as they have instructions to do so.

Gone are the days of gentle slaps on teh wrist. But you can still get the fine reduced by 50% at the traffic fines place :D

All others be warned..Have stickers on your car at your own discretion.

Oh I must be the lucky one. I never got a fine.
They just got alex out of car an showed him the sticker
and said not allowed.
And let me go.

Today in dubai. Passed many acop and nil .

Tin tin. I will pop in tomorrow and see them will put it in
writing. So they understand it better.
Wish me luck.

Guys - would it not be a good idea now to get UAE offroader tyre covers? They aren't illegal (yet), and are a very obvious way to publicise the club. Would be glad to pay for one (or two once I get my new wheels!)

One could always laser etch the web address in the side glass so as to not obstruct vision. That would throw them for a loop as the law only addresses the term "Stickers". Another trick would be to "ghost" it in the paint. I like the tire cover idea too.

That's a brilliant idea MB, tyre covers.... I think the "elders" should look into it. I am willing to pay for 2 :)

Although I will be taking possession of 2 covers, they will not fit my spare tyre. I intend to give them away. The idea is to advertise the club, whether on your car or someone else. That's the way I look at it
