Sand Dune Access @ Al Ain Airport

Was on a trip from Sweihan to Al Ain Airport yesterday with some of our friends. As we approached the gatch along the north fence of the Al Ain Airport we noticed that there has been some significant road construction activity that impedes following this gatch track to the exit point near the Al Ain Aviation School. You will have to make a large loop back to the north and then to the east and eventually back to the south to bypass the construction site. We ended up going through a large part of it. Keep this in mind if you are planning any trips in the area, you may wish to perform an advance recon.

Yeah, the dune area around Al Ain are coming under a lot of "development" - the pristine areas now tend to be south down by Al Wagan.
