UNSTABLE WEATHER NOTIFICATION


ALERT:

National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) issued a warning about unstable weather starting Friday the 23rd February until Monday the 26th February.
SEA:
The Arabian & Oman sea state is expected to be unstable with sever waves and swell especially in areas that are under heavy cloud cover
RAIN:
Rain and thunderstorms of varying intensities especially Saturday night and Sunday morning.
WIND:
South Westerly to North Westerly winds Medium to strong winds at times especially over the sea and it carries dust and sand with it causing reduced visibility.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Avoid valleys that are close to high elevations and areas where water accumulates
2. Take extra precautions while driving especially at high elevations
3. Avoid going to sea because of the sea state
