So have finally managed to grab myself an older Jeep TJ so I can finally get out and start seeing the sights. Need to get a couple problems fixed up before hitting the trails...dunes in this case. Need to get the clutch checked out (spongey, and now refusing to shift), and have a rear passenger side axle seal leaking.
At a disadvantage here in that being a "fresh" expat I'm not sure who is good and who isn't. Would prefer not breaking the bank, but at the same time I'd prefer someone who can fix it without buggering up something else.
Live in Al Ain so post up your suggestions...cheers.

OK, Mehran in Sanaya comes well recommended and knows his jeeps inside out and upside down. His garage is near the main crossroads of the Lulu road and the long stretch with Khawanji on it (just behind Nadeem's Pakistani restaurant). His mobile number is 0504711221

Thanks for the replies. As much as I'd love to begin assembling myself a garage full of tools once more, my humble home just doesn't afford me the space to wrench on my own junk. I took you up on the Mehran info and shot the Jeep down there tonight. Met with Mehran and if first impressions mean anything my Jeep is in good hands. Great guy and only to happy to chat about wheeling. Will post up after the damage is done and see if the review stays the same. lol Cheers.

Shame about the space, but good to hear that he seems trustworthy. Hope it gets sorted soon enough!
