I'm thinking to build something like this, but for UAE style camping - it's a wooden box that opens up to become a camping kitchen! It closes with all your camp-cook equipment inside.. I like it!!! 8)
Check it out, and open to your suggestions - please comment as to features you would want and why. Please help me brainstorm at the design stage.

In fact, if I can arrange with a carpenter, would you like one, too?

great idea PR, but for me the first issue would be the size. Also as for my type of cooking - Machboos,.... the main thing i want is a worktop to place all the food,ingredients,.. on so they dont get sand on them, but also thatit doesnt have to be extremely high off the floor.

hope that helps - what i would be looking at in design loool

Thanks - yeah, even someone just walking past can get sand on the food!
What's machboos?
I think compared to the example above, we need one that is stronger, simpler and just convenient - no fancy fold-out legs and stuff.
We also make a lot of tea 8) so it needs a place for the kettle, and a tea box
Do you use a gas stove, like this?

Machboos is a kind of Biryani...it is Scavengers speciality !
Your originalpost has a very nice design but may be too big to have in your car when you are doing a drive.
You should check out the portable camping kitchens that are usually used by our members, they have verythning you need in a small package.
The next ADIHEX (Hunting & Equestrian Show) is coming up in Sep and you can get soem nice items there

machboos PR is rice, chicken(or meat),spices,garlic,..... all cooked together in one pot so all the flavouring is mixed together.
i very rarely use the gas stove for tea or anything else. like for machboos, the gas stove doesnt supply enough heat and machboos takes about 1.5 hours to cook; therefore i usually use the hot coal from a fire.
Ye wasif, its coming soon. i always look forward to going to it for new inventions and some outdoor stuff you cant get here
