I already have a 2.5 body lift on my 2010 jeep wrangler jk. i am going to be upgrading maybe in the next few weeks through western motors ( Jeep dealer) to a full 2.5inch suspension kit. its going to cost me around 8k Dhs to buy and install with them, but beauty is that the shocks on the kit are bilstien and i will get 3 years warranty on the suspension.

Muzamil Bhai.

First off wellcome to friendliest and the best off roading club in the UAE today.....you made teh right choice by coming on board.

There are a few options for lifting the JK and you need to take your time and look around so you get the best.

The advie you got from Al Khatib is perfect. Just call AEV in Dubai and check when the new Terra Flex kit with teh Fox Shocks will be availabe and then go for it.

It is the best solution for off and on road use.'

The ARB might be cheaper but will be very hard on the roads and you will end up changing later.

Do come out for trips with us, meet members with lifted Jeeps and take a ride in them. Thsi way you will have first hand knowledge of how different suspension set ups feel.

Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Off topic: Watch your Bilstiens, I had them with my not so nicely installed Full Traction kit from AEV and I would get significant fade and start bottoming out in the rear end about halfway through Senior + trips. You might have better luck then I. That is why I switched to the Offroad Evolution Enforcer suspension and King Shocks.

On topic: If you are only after a 2.5" lift then Teraflex is the primary brand, make sure you are getting the complete suspension kit and not a piece meal kit. When the work is completed make sure you inspect the workmanship to ensure that all hardware is installed correctly and its not a hack job. - Been down that road before. Personally I would order my kit from the US or Canada (Quadratech or Northridge for example) and then have a reputable shop like Extreme Performance install it for me, again , lesson learned for me.

But in all cases your milage may vary.

No problem muzammis as we all try to helpeach other. and see, even i got some good advice from eric about the kit i was thinking to install. Consider Eric like the Jeep King as his jeep was and still is a monster in the sand. MASHALLAH!!
