Hey folks, I was wondering where the best place to get truck, $X$ accessories is. (ie. bedliners, grills etc.) I bought my truck from Al Futtaim but they seem limited. Any suggestions? Thank y'all see you in the sand. P.J.

pjdude, I'd look online better than the UAE shops.

It's exactly the same items because they also buy them online same as you can. They try save a little on bulk shipping, then add a ridiculous profit margin - like they double the price!

"It's 3k? OK, sell for 6k, if the customer cries for a discount, make him happy at 5k..."

I've bought headers, suspensions, grills, etc., and it's come out cheaper/better than what the guys here could do for me - every time. And I was able to chose exactly what I wanted, with no screw-ups (oh, they only came like this...) and without waiting forever for the bulk shipping (the shops will wait on your items until they have enough other people's orders to ship together).

So, if you're good online, know exactly what you want, confident communicating with the sales guys in USA, and comfortable with credit card online - then go directly.

For example, check out http://www.summitracing.com 8) This is motoring heaven!

What's your truck? F-150 twin-cab?

OK, let's do a test. Let's take a pair of headers for a F-150 - here: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/big-1 ... odel/f-150

Now, try phone the UAE shops and see what price they quote you for full-length headers for a F-150...

Online with Summit they cost AED 650, plus shipping, so let's assume AED 1,200 delivered to your door in 10 days.

If you phone the UAE shops, I'll bet you can't get less than 3k, and most will start at 6k - try... actually, dang it, I'll do it for you!!! LOL Stand by for results...

PR, as always an excellent guide on all things Offroad. :)

Hey PR whenever you are ready to sell one of your cars, I am ready to buy :D .

I am looking for a Elsie like yours and want to mod it out. Budget for the car is around 35k and then mods will be purchased as and when Mods can be purchased. I read about your second car and would like to have something similar.

Really an excellent choice - I waited years to find the second one, it's not easy to find. I'll sell both together when I leave UAE 8) so in a few years you'll have a really amazing deal!
