Hello everyone!
Lots of great comments- I really appreciate the advice!
I rang Supercarz and got a quote for 4 x Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres for 2080, including fitting & alignment.
Does this seem to be a good deal to you?

Wow, I wish I had that deal. Inclusive of Alignment? Even better. Make sure it's a 2013 second half of the year tyre.

Actually it turns out the guy got confused with the sizes, for my wheel size (245, 65, 17) he can only offer STR's, which are 60/40 road/off road ratio, for 2940.
Not sure what to do now!
Apparently they don't do ATR's for my wheel size.

After searching around a few different tyre shops and having a look at my options on google (was considering getting 265/65/17 ATR's as opposed to the standard 245/65/17, but decided against it because of various advice on forums, as well as the guy at Supercarz saying it could cause problems- however the other garages were fine with the idea!),
I went with the Pirelli Scorpion STR's.
That deal on ATR's is still on at the same price as mentioned before though- so if anyone is looking for a new set of tyres and have the right wheel size- grab them quick while it's still on!
Now that I have some nice new tyres and my spare is in good condition again, I'll be able to try out my first offroader trip this week

I just got four Cooper Discoverer AT/3 tires (265/70 R16) this morning. They were 625 a piece, and manufactured in 2013 (2713).
I purchased them from Manchester Tyre in Al Quoz (04 347 5303) - really glad I didn't have to drive to Sharjah.

What size? Prices tend to differ based on the size......
