dear dune bashers,
my newly bought patrol safari (long one) is getting mad at me for letting him in those bridgestone dueler h/t tyres... he cant stand them !
more seriously, im getting punctures and punctures again when I go offroad, in spite of being really careful.
i guess those tyres are not suitable, and i ve been advised to get some all-terrain BF Goodrich ko t/a ones, 275/70 R 16
I am a rookie in this kind of deals...
is this tyre the real strong, durable in terms of wear, with added grip offroad ?
please can somebody help me locate a good shop in AD or mussafah ? i contacted al futtaim in M-15 mussafah, 730 per tyre.

finally... u know any place i can get rid of my current bridgestone tyres ?

thank you very much...
winter is coming

regards

So long as you install AT's (all terrain) you will be fine. The difference is in the price and the noise they make on tarmac. BFG's tend to be extremely costly and noisy too, then next option is Geolanders, which are much more quite on the tarmac, and from the feedback here, they are good.

Geolanders are lighter than BFG, with a softer side wall as well. They give you slightly better performance on the sand, but they are more prone to popouts. Also, if you plan on lots of mountain and wadi drives, BFG are better as they are much thicker.
For either BFG or Geolanders I would suggest the National Tres in Musaffah. Even if they don't have the right size for you in stock, they can bring it from Dubai or elsewhere. I found them very helpfull when I had to replace one of my BFG tires.
