what are your recommendations for GPS for on road off road use

There is a Garmin Montana 680t as well... with topographical capabilities.
Are topographical maps available for the UAE and Oman (couldn't see them on the Garmin website) and would you recommend getting that or just the regular Montana 680?
Where can we get the regular maps for the UAE and Oman?
