Adjusting Patrol seat height

First of all, this is a serious topic :smiley2:
I wish the driver's seat was higher in the patrol, and wonder if there is any way to safely modify the existing mountings. Or is it easier to install a different seat?
Anyone done this to their rig?
ps - I did think of using a kid's booster seat but my backside is too wide!

Marina get 1" blocks and longer bolts, put the blocks underneath the seat mounting frame and bolt the seat back down job done

Thanks Overdose for your suggestion. However I am going to go with JC's idea, and will be adding it to Neil's "to do" list on his return home on the 12th!

If you haven't done this yet, it's easy - look under the seat for the bolts that hold it to the rails, count how many bolts and remove one bolt. Take that bolt to Sanaiya to a hardware store and buy 1" longer versions same diameter, same thread. Then find a metal shop nearby and buy a square tube of metal about 1" high and wide enough to fit between the rail and the seat (or solid block if you prefer, which would be actually better). Then find a turnery (workshop for steel) and ask them to cut and drill the metal blocks to accommodate the bolts. Back home re-install the seat by placing the 1" blocks between seat and rail. Whole kaboodle should not cost you more than AED 50, both seats.
I had some from the previous owner on my latest project (Rhino, 1990 Range Rover Classic) and it took me forever to figure out why the ceiling was so low!! LOOOOL Want me to see if I still have them lying around somewhere?
