Hey, all -
Does anyone have a spare suction-cup mount for a garmin GPS?
In the last couple months, with all the car-shuffling I've been doing,
I seem to have lost mine. :smiley13:
Also, does anyone know where I can get some of those large eye-protection
'goggles' that quad bikers wear? I need to carry some eye protection in my
car in case it gets windy while I'm out. I can't find any place in Al Ain that
carries them. Are they generally available in the Big Cities, or can anyone
suggest a specific shop I can try?
Thaaanks. :smiley9:
PS - Dang. I think I just set this up in the wrong place. :-/

There's a place in the Hamdan centre here in town that sells goggle and such. I will try and pop in if I am close by over the weekend.

@Jane
If you go to the shop take your glasses with you which you normally use.(or you doesnt need to use for the first months glasses?)
Whatever not all googles (Brands) fit over regular Glasses
Smith as i remember is to small
Oakley should fit
But better try it and please DONT BUY THE CHEAPPEST one. Sun plus xxxxxxx Plastic can have a bad effect for your eyes. If its a dark one you will open your pupile more and the UV light have a stronger effect. So choose wisely!!

i can get u some if you want jane ranging from 90dhs(clear lenses) upto 450 dhs. 450 have solar reflection tinted lenses but would have to check if they fit over normal prescribed glasses.
suction cup i can check, think might have extra one somewhere.
Here is a link from one of the bike shops here - you can see their goggle choices designs. You can probably guess cheapest to most expensive ones. (half way down page)

Thanks, all, for the helpful input.
Re: goggles -
Tintin, if you get a chance soon to snag some inexpensive CLEAR quad-goggles, that'd have me covered in the short-term.
No tint, pls. My eyes need all the light they can get at present.
Many thanks. (If you don't have time for this, no worries, mate.)
In the longer term, I'll try to get some glasses like Ali's got, with "skin" around the edges of the frames to close the space between frames and face. (Know what I mean?) I've heard those might be available in Dubai Mall, and I'll be able to get there in a few weeks. Those shd give me good UV protection, as well.
Re: GPS mount -
Scav, if you've got a spare, I'd be most appreciative if you were willing to part with it, at least for now. If you need it back in future, I'd of course return it. :smiley9:
Thanks again, guys!
Wasif, what can I say? I guess it wdn't be a proper thread without your smart-a** remark. :smiley2:

No, Tanjev, I don't know the name. Someone just gave me a vague description of its location, so I'll see if I can find it. Thanks, tho!
