Hi - I have been "lumbered" with a fairly decent 2004 model V8 engine grand cherokee by a friend who moved back to the UK foolishly without changing ownership of his car.

It has 158,000kms and is a full option model, leather seats, runs well - tyres, brakes, engine, gears basically everything is fine.

The car is not registered and as his emirates ID and all expired, so we are now trying to sell it for parts / spares (or farm use if that is legal, not sure?)

Offers over 3500aed considered, the car is complete and runs fine, just sadly not on the road

I think if he wrote you a letter of no objection you could transfer the car to your name and then sell on later.

Otherwise you could maybe try the scrap yards at Dhaid or Mussafah to see if they will buy.

Maybe check with Mehran.
He may well be interested in that engine.

Thanks both - he was (supposed to) get a power of attorney in England, translate to Arabic and then get it attested - THEN I could sell it for him. Sadly, he either couldn't be bothered or dropped out of touch, or both - so I am stuck. I will try out your suggestions.
