So the helicopter pilots got the car out themselves... LOL good show, guys 8)
Thumbs up to learning the required skills before getting into a situation in which you might need them. This is why clubs like uaeoffroaders are so important.

Its a big and vast area PR. I normally see 2 or 3 of these european fellas on their own in the desert with nothing more than a hat and flip flops ... beleive me once i saw a family with their jeep stuck in a small manner and i asked if i could be of any help ... he says " No problem mate, enjoy your day " ... so i decided to fool him by going around a dune and comming from the back again ... the first time he could have got out by simple shifting to 4L and reverse but by the time i got back he was drowned in the sand and then again i went and he had a small grit smile and i pulled him out ... but these bugger never listen ..... i told him atleast he needs a GPS for which he replies " We drive here every week end Mate ... just today was hard luck i guess " ... so what more can we say to these people ..... i see such comic charecters everytime i go out ... I dont blame them for going alone cuz mostly i drive alone with my car ... but they should have the basic things such as spade or atleast something with a flat base and not an umbrella..!!!! even today i drove tru Margam and Umm al Mamoon area to see a few gazzells and things and even today i recovered one Brit ..... ( what is it with these people ??? )

Bipin,
They are know it all people, they are to ashamed to admit they are human like us that have to learn and practice certain things before we get it right. Look if you want to go out alone in the desert or want to explore certain areas alone, don't be stupid. Take at least a GPS (they are not that expensive, these days they are in your cell phone) and learn how to use one. Take enough water and at least food as well.
