[Lexus] Override Drive + GPS Coordinates (hacks)

Wed Apr 13, 2011 10:41 pm

hey everyone,

Here is how get the GPS coordinates and some system check information.
Steps:
1. Turnoff the headlights.
2. Press and hold "INFO"
3. while pressing it, turn the lights on and off three times (Not Auto).
Then you will see the system checkup screen. Click on the "Back" button at the top right, then select "Navigation Check", then "GPS Information".
At the lower right corner you will find the GPS Coordinates.

For this I don't know a simple way to go back to the normal system, you will have to Turn the vehicle off then on.
Some people say you can go back by press and hold the display button for 5 seconds, but it didn't work with me.

((NOTE: DON'T CLICK ON "MEMORY CLR" BUTTON))

This is how to override drive which will allow you to use the GPS while driving
Steps:
1. Go to Menu.
2. System Option
3. Press the Left upper corner
4. Press the Left lower corner
5. Press the Left upper corner
6. Press the Left lower corner
7. Press the Right lower corner

A menu of two columns will appear, at the top right click on the button "Override Drive" then go back.
This will remove the driving lock.
And also in the same menu, Third button at the right is "GPS". This will show you the GPS Information screen with the GPS Coordinates.

This is working with Lexus LX470 - 2002. and Lexus ES - 2010.
It must work with the other models but I didn't try it, and I must work even for the LandCruiser. :)

loool i love these wierd and secret codes "switch light on/ off 3 times,...." <- secret handshakes llooool.

With the jeep to reset the diagnostic system - turn key to ignition (do not start engine), press / depress accelerator pedal 5 times, sitch off car and remove key, wait 10 seconds, then insert key and turn key to ignition mode (do not start). lloool

and you dont want to know how to disable traction control!! will tell jeepers later.

I believe it will work, if it didn't work try after pressing the menu button, instead of going to system options, click on "DVD" if you have it.
