Hi off-roaders!
I have a stock 2013 unlimited Sahara and I was in badayer desert last week.
I wasn't too pleased with the performance of the car. I don't know whether it's the stock tiers and the 17 inch rims or the stock engine or the fact that I didn't fit a lift kit yet.
I need some general tips on the Jk especially that I might be going on a desert crossing in Oman in December.
Appreciate ur comments

even if it is stock .
main things to do
1- go to the agency and let them fit you a button to diable the abs and the traction control , the one you have in the car doesn't disable them fully .
2- get a lift kit 2.5 not more , if you have a good budget go for kings shocks if you have a limited budget go for fox with mopar coils .
3- mopar air filter will not harm
4- go for bigger tires but not 285's cuz they are to heavy for your shahara , the stock is 245's ggo for 265's many brands the best in my opinion are
- copper stt (very noise onroad ) (exellent offroad)
- BFgoodrich all terrian for onroad and offroad use
- cooper at3's onroad and offroad
the three tires are on the same price range i think , other than that you need nothing you have a beast .
if you are in AD visit Monster garage to help you fit all the lifts and if you want any LED they offer a good discount for UAEoffroader memebers .
thanks

Oh wow! Thanks a lot for your reply.. I really appreciate it..
I had the car since last year but did very little dune bashing and desert driving.
Mostly going to wadis in Oman and some beaches but I guess all u mentioned is enough to get me up and running for some desert crossing this winter!
Thanks again bro..

Invest in time driving first and then modify
Don't buy all these mods..... Invest instead in time on how to get the best out of your car by learning how to drive it to its limitations.
