Hummer as a brand was owned by GM, who wanted to sell it. A Chinese company tried to buy it but was blocked by the American Government, then as far as I can remember GM just stopped producing the brand. As far as I know, they must produce sufficient spares for 10 yrs...however when a brand dies, am not sure if it is still applicable.
As I recall, they came in 2 models, a 5 cylinder and a V8. 5Cyl may have issues with spares as I am not aware if they used those motors in other models, but for the V8, Engine and transmission spare should be easy as they r GM, and available in many other models. Body parts might also be an issue as there weren't too many sold here, so scrap could also be an issue.
I personally wouldn't consider the 5cly, the V8 is another story......at the right price!!!!
HAHAHAHA, uncle is right, don't buy a red one, it might have got JC's foot print still on the accelerator!!!Uncle wrote:Ask JC
He got a brand new one for free, played with it in the desert and later sold it![]()
