Okay, but do the marshals track that info for upgrade considerations?
Just curious, really. I mean, the image I had before Martino posed the question was of you marshals locking yourself in a room and having a secret vote, like when they elect a new pope. White smoke out the chimney: upgrade granted. Black smoke: upgrade denied! :wink:

Hehehe........upgrades are never denied, some just get postponed.

Marshals normally observe the capabilities of certain drivers and the day after the trip, this is discussed on the Marshal's Forum.

Let me emphasise that it is in the interest of the club to have members upgraded up to Marshal level to assist in running trips. However, this has to be done based upon the capabilities gained by the member through regular participation in different areas under different Marshals.

Jane,

I am going to tell you one secret ( you will be amazed )

Marshals (who do trips) are keeping thier eyes on every member & record all the comments. So, there is no priority.

People who didn't upgraded, they have some missing skills need to be completed & once they will be ready for next level
we will recomand for upgrade.

Please don't get me wrong, i'm not asking for an upgrade...

all i wanted to know if there was some procedure that was followed or if it was random...cos it wasn't to be found on the site...

its nice being the underdog...
