... I have seen a similar location in person. Also WW-II remains but in the south pacific. The Yankees there built out of an Atoll an airbase and when they left they oiled and wraped vehicles, planes, even small vessels and covered them in the sand at the end of the runway, inside the atoll. After years nature uncovers piece by piece... The location is close to Manus island in Papau New Guniea.
