As it stands now they told me that they will get in touch with the manufacturer of the Ring & Pinion + other components I guess "Alloy USA" and respond.. So waiting for their response.

Well I know Alloy USA are one of only two (I think) companies who make gear sets for the JK. There may be some more companies doing this now, but there used to be only two, so keeping a good name is vital for them. I would like to see the response they get from A.USA in writing as I can almost guarantee they will say there should be no noise so long as the break in period was followed properly.

Finally got to hear from AlloyUSA.. Initially they suggested it was because of imporper installation. However, it was responded to by the workshop with the pictures of the bite pattern that was achieved and they got back saying that they will replace the Ring & Pinion... so it does look like it was defective part.. will keep the progress posted...

Not sorted out yet as Alloy USA have not sent the replacement yet and no 4.56 gears in stock. As commented by the workshop they have been having a lot of problems with Alloy USA shipments. I have been a bit busy to follow up with alloy USA directly, hopefully will do it soon.

My guess, and knowing nothing about this mystery workshop, but knowing very well how the mindsets of workshops go:
It is a lousy installation, and they will do everything possible and blame everyone possible in order not to accept responsibility.
Installing diff gears is a tricky business, and it's not easy to get it right even in pro workshop conditions.
Here's the thought-process... customer's complaining: let him finish the break-in period.
Customer's still complaining: bring in his car, let him wait a bit, tell him we've fixed it (done nothing)
Customer's still complaining: is his warrantee over yet? No. OK< blame the manufacturer. Send them photos, make confusion.
Customer's still complaining: sorry, warrantee's over. Maybe you pushed it too hard.

Now I am really upset.. Absolutely nothing has happened other than PR's explanation. Received my car back after the re-gearing on the 18-07-2012 and send them an e-mail regarding the noise issue on the 21st July, after driving only 130 kms and since then they have not had stock of 4.56 R&P to replace the defective one in my car as per their claims.
Now the other interesting part that I did not mention previously mainly because I can't hold them for it . The Picture they sent me of the bite pattern, I believe does not belong to my car in the first place. The picture was taken on 10/01/2012 with a Nokia 5800 xpress which is basically a phone so the chances of the date not being right on the phone is very low.. but again like I said this cannot be confirmed as it is editable data with pictures.
This has really taken way too long and I will try to escalate the issue with whoever possible. Now to let the cat out of the bag for those who haven't guessed it.. it is "Motor Tech".
