Hi PR.
As usual a superb read.
Could you please post pics of the mother Gazelle.
Also can you please explain what exactly are desert roses, how they are formed and also some clear pictures of them.

The pregnant gazelle:

and had a little scorpion come visit:

I'll take a few pics of the desert roses later. AFAIK, they are crystalized gypsum which are formed by water evaporating from under the sebkha. Here's some details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_rose_(crystal)

What is the indication to look for on a Sabka that points to the presence of these roses underground ? How deep does one have to go to find them ? Are they under all Sabkas , like the ones just after the car Museum on Hameem Road
If you have any extra pieces could I get one please ?PR wrote:Here you go, from earlier trips:
Easy and plenty to find. Bring a pick-up truck and 4-5 guys and we can get a really good one!

Not all sebkha... you need to look for the dry crystals on the surface left behind by the evaporated water. For big chunks you need to dig down maybe a meter or more and they are very heavy to lift. You also need good packing to get them home without breaking on the trip out of the dunes. We can go together in winter.
