I know all joke, but really the best short wheel base is probably a well maintained TJ or even a YJ if it is clean. Maybe not so comfortable, but power to weight ratio is great, dimensions are great, accessories and mods choice is huge, and you have a choice of top or no top at the flick of a few clips! :D

In my opinion you want the perfect car that many dont actually look at is the Toyota Landcruiser Short Base or LC-70 seen below

It was my 2nd choice after jeep wrangler as parts/mods/,...... everything available for it here!! + monster of a car

Seriously though, sale them all and buy a brand new 2011 Nissan Patrol SWB top of the range. You will never regret it. The current stock has been sold out. And the engine has been enhanced and produces slightly more horses than its predecessor. It retains the same shape. Wait for another month.

The Badrool has a more comfortable ride, the LC70 has leaf springs and jumps a lot. But what's more important is that they both shake their a$$...

Yes, LC-70 is super-cool, but narrower (easier to roll), less comfortable (leafs), and a lot more basic finish (it's a farm vehicle) - but it is a really tough truck!!! And powerful!
