hey ameen,
welcome to the club bro! the tahoe is a very capable vehicle in the desert. short wheel base is easier to manage at times but still alot of power.
good luck with your new search hope to see you in the sand really soon!

Thanks Jeff for encouraging remarks. For the recovery points, do you think that the pre-installed front hooks in 2005 durango are capable ( I have doubts on rear ones) or all 4 recovery points need to be replaced.

Hi Omar, the pre-installed front ones are probably strong but I would recommend getting them all checked at a trusted garage, I had one fixed on to the back of my Durango as there was no rear recovery point when I bought the vehicle.
